Approved titanium/carbon silencer

The Zard line of exhaust systems for the new BMW R 1300 GS aims to substantially improve the performance of the motorcycle, paying special attention to the design of the silencer that enhances the clear shapes of the motorcycle.

The result of collaboration between the R&D department and the Zard Stile Center, the line consists of a Euro 5 approved silencer and a titanium racing version, both equipped with a carbon fiber bottom and heat shield. The silencer is light (-0.8 kg for the Euro 5 approved version and -0.9 kg for the racing version compared to the standard silencer) and contributes to increasing engine performance (+1.8 HP for the approved version and +2.5 HP for the racing version). compared to the standard muffler), giving the bike the distinctive Zard sound.

Thanks to the combined development of the complete exhaust system, slip-on + catalytic converter, a further increase in performance is achieved, +5.7 HP for the homologated version and +6.4 HP for the competition version compared to the combination of series.
